BAD DEAL Alert: Six Flags Starts Selling Beer, $9 a cup
It's pretty unfortunate in my humble opinion that even with this downturn in economy, companies like Six Flags have to resort to alcohol in order to boost revenues.
There's just something uncool about serving mixed drinks and beer at a family amusement park.Isn't the point to go there and have some good ol' fun with the family and kids? Is Six Flags going the way of public venues that want to become college hangouts with rowdy teens, including underage drinkers?
And talk about bad for the economy, those park-goers that do go for the beer will be broke as ever. Beer at $9 each will put you into foreclosure faster than ever.
There are tons of businesses that will eek it out of these bad times by focusing on what they do best and pushing themselves to do better in giving customers more value. Then there are companies that try and take the easy way out. . .As if the $40+ per person admission price wasn't enough (don't forget parking fees too!)
