How To Get A LEGAL Copy of Microsoft Office 2007 for $59
The great part about software is that there is almost no cost to the actual product -- which means unlimited profit for the software company.
But what this means for the consumer is that if you are savvy enough, you can probably find some really good deals out there for the same exact thing. RIght now, Office Ultimate is available for $697 at Staples. NO JOKE.
For example, student versions of software are ridiculously cheap if you have a valid student id at a college, university or sometimes even primary schools (keep reading to find out about the Home & Student Editions of Microsoft Office for about 100 bucks).But Microsoft has come up with a super enticing offer to get legal copies of its software into the hands of students across campuses to cut down on piracy and get some actual profits along the way.
Here's the ultimate deal for Microsoft Office 2007 ULTIMATE EDITION which includes nine different Microsoft programs.
Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Groove, OneNote, Publisher, Access, and more.
You need a valid university or school email address that ends in .edu. Once you buy it, you'll download the product and install it as a trial. And you simply enter the registration key that you purchase and it "unlocks" and becomes a fully licensed legal copy of the Microsoft office suite.
Now that is a sweet deal! At $59.95 for 10 programs, that's under $10/program! Compare that to the full price for MS Office 2007 Ultimate which is $457!
What's Included
* Access™ 2007
* Accounting Express 2007
* Excel® 2007
* Groove® 2007
* InfoPath® 2007
* OneNote® 2007
* Outlook® 2007 with Business Contact Manager
* PowerPoint® 2007
* Publisher 2007
* Word 2007
Secure your discount now before you regret that you missed the deadline (end of this month).
BUT WHAT IT I AM NOT A STUDENT with a student ID + .edu email address?
Microsoft still loves you. Ok, that's a stretch, but they love the benjamin's in your wallet... There's a little known version of Office that is generally available to the public which is legal for home and student use. In fact, it's called just that - Microsoft Office HOME & STUDENT 2007 -- and the full price is only $119 (free shipping!)
You are allowed to install in on up to 3 computer in a non-commercial setting.
This version doesn't have all 10 programs included in the Ultimate edition, but you'll get the most used programs: Word 2007, Powerpoint 2007, Excel 2007, and OneNote 2007. That's still a bargain at $119.

Blockbuster Total Access Alternative
Blockbuster recently rolled out a $4.99/month service for their online DVD movie rental service to try and align it's plans better with the majority of consumer's real movie watching habits. Do you REALLY watch 4-6 movies EVERY month? If not, the $5 movie rental plan might be for you.
However, if you are even more realistic, $4/month might be better on your wallet for the same thing. Intellifix is a competing DVD rental service that does the same thing as NetFlix and Blockbuster Total Access, but for less.
Intellifix has plans starting from $3.99. That plus the fact that Consumer Reports just rated Intellifix the best DVD movie rental service -- even better than Netflix and Blockbuster -- should be enough to give them a try.
Of course, they have a free trial period so you can test out really how fast they ship the movies to your door.

20% Off Oprah's Book Club Selection at Borders Books
Read an excerpt from this month's selection from Oprah's Book Club: "Middlesex",
ISBN: 0312427735
Spanning eight decades and chronicling the wild ride of a Greek-American family through the vicissitudes of the twentieth century, Jeffrey Eugenides' witty, exuberant novel on one level tells a traditional story about three generations of a fantastic, absurd, lovable immigrant family -- blessed and cursed with generous doses of tragedy and high comedy.
But there's a provocative twist. Cal, the narrator -- also Callie -- is a hermaphrodite. And the explanation for this takes us spooling back in time, through a breathtaking review of the twentieth century, to 1922, when the Turks sacked Smyrna and Callie's grandparents fled for their lives. Back to a tiny village in Asia Minor where two lovers, and one rare genetic mutation, set our narrator's life in motion.
Middlesex is a grand, utterly original fable of crossed bloodlines, the intricacies of gender, and the deep, untidy promptings of desire. It's a brilliant exploration of divided people, divided families, divided cities and nations -- the connected halves that make up ourselves and our world. Justly acclaimed when it was released in Fall 2002, it announces the arrival of a major writer for our times.

Blockbuster $5 Coupon For Total Access Members
Yet another reason why Blockbuster Total Access is better than NetFlix -- Blockbuster Video keeps throwing more freebies to members. Not only do you get double the number of video rentals per month plus a free game rental, I just got this email from Blockbuster:
Blockbuster has long used their website for one-time printable coupons. This is yet another way to save more at the store.
At the store, they now have a cool promo locall too -- $5.99 for 30 days and you get a free candy/treat every time you go. Since they are priced from $1 to $3 each usually for a Twizzler, Popcorn, Chocolate covered pretzels, gummy bears, mentos, etc, if you go to the store just once a week, this is a great deal.
I have no clue how Blockbuster aims to make a profit with their Total Access DVD Rental Program . . . especially when they have plans for only $5.99/month after the free trial. But until it's gone, you might as well ride the wave.

Smaller is Better for this MicroSD Card for the price & size
This offer is so small you might miss it - literally. Here's a 1 GB MicroSD Card (with regular SD card adapter included) from Kingston for only $11 - $5 rebate = $6.00 after rebate! Perfect for your Samsung Blackjack - even if you already have one, at this price a spare is great to have.
This is the perfect way to transfer ringtones, mp3 files, phone numbers etc back and forth between your PC and Blackjack cell phone. Or even between two different phones.
This thing is TINY. Really TINY. 0.43” x 0.59” x .039” (yes, that's less than 1/2 inch). In fact, it's very easy to loose, so when you're taking it out or putting it in the MicroSD card slot in your cell phone, you should really do it on a surface that is light in color so you can find it just in case it jumps out of your hands.
SIX BUCKS for a 1GB MicroSD CARD. THAT'S A HUGE DEAL FOR SUCH A SMALL THING.

How to get a Terrabyte (1,000GB!) WebHosting Account for Free (1 year)
Here's one deal that really peaked my interest and I'm definitely signing up to try it out -- 1 full year of webhosting completely free after rebate.
There's 2 account options depending on your needs, but MOST humans will only need the smaller package which gives you 1 TERRABYTE of space (that's 1,000 GB!) while the larger package gives you 5 TB of space. They claim a full 1-year money-back policy (pro-rated I believe), so there's really not much at risk here at first glance.
I am about to personally sign-up for this service, so I haven't experienced this web host's services yet. But if you're wondering if this is real, here's a separate example -- I JUST finished a 3-year completey free webhosting promo from 1and1 Internet (the world's largest web host), and it was legit.
