NYC is darn expensive for tourists. But I LOVE NY T-Shirts are not.
Check this one out $2.22 for an adult black I [Heart] NY T-shirt - brand new on eBay.
A great tip for traveling to touristy locations or big events. Buy the shirts before or after you go -- not at the actual travel destination because you'll save money for the same exact thing!
Get rid of that emotional rationalization that you get from buying the expensive, marked-up item in New York City or the NY hotel gift shop. Is the actual experience and physical location in which you bought the item the point? Or is it a reminder of the great memories you had of the trip to New York City?
Here's the latest 2 promo codes reported to work on the Six Flags website for admission tickets - sfkid and cocacola3.
Get your tickets and print them out even while you are home, avoid the car lines and get in line at the rides faster because you can zip by to the admission booth for people having to buy Six Flags admission tickets.
Save that extra 30 minutes in line (or longer on hot days!) and get into the park faster and cheaper.

Yesterday was the perfect day to pick-up one of the new hot (or cold) sweet coffee drinks that's basically going to be catapulting McDonald's profits - the Mocha coffee drink. You should have grabbed one! It was free after all. (don't worry, it will be free again next Monday)
But alas, you coffee snob, of course you would never step into McDonalds for their mass-consumeristic "free" promotions. That's so pedestrian, huh?
But wait, today is a new day. Monday is behind us. What do we have to look forward to today?
How about a freebie from Starbucks? Ah...now that's different, eh?
I'm sure you'll be using this coupon for a free pastry at Starbucks Tuesday July 21st.
Print it out or show it to them on your iPhone (of course, would you carry anything else?) and ask for your free scone or muffin or tart or pie, or danish, or pound cake, or bun, or roll, or . . . .
Just don't go to the Starbucks in Hawaii. Because that will just cause trouble.
What to be a star? Tell your friends about it and make them go with you to claim your free dough (get it?! hehe!) together. Here's the shortcut to this webpage you're reading now:

For the completely el cheapo buddies out there, this one is for you.
Swing by a McDonalds today or next week Monday anytime from 7am to 7pm and get a completely free (NO REBATES REQUIRED, No cash involved to front this deal, no showing ID or any secret handshake) 8 oz. hot mocha coffee or 7 oz, cold iced mocha drink.
Give me a shout out when you get your sweet little mocha treat.
I'm headed to Staples this morning to pick-up my new backpack. Haven't figured out which one yet, but it doesn't matter because they are all free today.
Any back pack is 100% free after rebate at Staples.
I love Staples rebates because you don't have to photo copy, clip UPC codes or mail anything in. You just need to log onto their staplesrebatecenter.com site, enter the rebate offer id, your mailing address on the rebate form and then the 10 or 12 digit code (I forget how long) on the bottom of the receipt. Just confirm and they'll mail you a check.
But this deal is even better! NO FORMS TO FILL OUT AT ALL! Buy it with a Rewards Number and then THAT IS IT. They'll automatically fulfill the rebate and send you the voucher back to you via mail (or email).
It's the one part where I agree, "Staples. That was easy."
UPDATE: Some of our EL CHEAPO readers apparently are balking at the "fine print" because it's not a cash-back rebate, but a Staples credit rebate. But c'mon, who won't be able to use $16.04 in the next year at Staples (ink? paper? back-to-school supplies? anything for your office/business/job?)? They have backpacks as nice as $100 with 25% off for laptops, etc. REALLY nice knapsacks. But my Disney Cars backpack will do just fine for Spencer. Mine came with a bonus Cars Lightning McQueen lunchbag! ;-) Phoey on the cheapoes. Hooray for deals like this.

From time to time, friends like to tell me about deals they find for Snapfish or Kodak Gallery where you can get 50 prints for $5 or something like that.
But personally, if I'm looking to print a bunch of prints from a trip or season (like summer vacation!), I'd rather get 1200 photo prints for free.
I love this photo site because of their great prices, and cool photo gifts - completely priced right. I bet you will too.
