$5 Sync Software for Windows Mobile 5 & 6 Cell Phones

As most know, I love my Samsung Blackjack i607 which has Windows Mobile 6 running on it right now. And using it to view downloaded videos and audiobooks is one of the most productive ways I've been using the phone lately.

But the native Windows Mobile Media Player isn't the most robust application that you can envision on a cell phone. Just look at the iPhone and how elegantly it handles fliping through photos and videos.

Well, it's time to upgrade to a 3rd party application to turbo charge my smartphone. I've purchased REVUE from SmithMicro software. This program has a lot of bells and whistles that basically makes managing audio/video content easier on the cell phone.

For $28.99, it's a great buy at that price if it makes you're life easier and more productive.

But little do people know that Amazon and other retailers offer direct rebates from time to time on products that are not widely advertised. Amazon.com itself sometimes lists the associated rebate form on the product page, but many times it doesn't. So a quick search for rebate forms for products that you buy is quite fruitful sometimes.

For example, right now, this media management software from Smith Micro for your PocketPC or Smartphone cell phone only $4.99 after a $24 rebate from Amazon.com:

It pays to do an extra search once in awhile when you're buying something online...

AMAZON $24 Rebate Form for Smith Micro's REVUE Software

P.S. The rebate fine print sales that you must purchase Revue from Amazon.com directly -- this EXCLUDES 3RD PARTY SALES like from J&R Music which sometimes comes up as a merchant on the Amazon.com site when searching for this product. If that happens, make sure you click on the other sellers list and find the one sold by Amazon.com directly. You'll know it if you are offered the Free SuperSaver Shipping option for $25 or over (which only applies to products purchased directly from Amazon.com vs. 3rd party sellers on Amazon.com)

How to get Starbucks VENTI Coffees for < $1

Did you know that you can get Starbucks Venti size (LARGE!) coffee for only $1 a cup?

Today, I went in to my local Starbucks and used a prepaid Starbucks card for my purchase. By using a registered pre-paid card at Starbucks, they apparently give you free flavoring and free milk options in your coffee.

And another bonus: hey also give you free refills on brewed coffee.

So for $1.95, I got 2 full Venti cups of Pike's Place Soy Hazelnut coffee today...

That's less than 1 dollar a cup.

You laugh, but this is serious $$ for some people. Saving $0.75-$1+ a day on the flavors + milk each time you go into Starbucks can translates into literally HUNDREDS of dollars saved over a year.
All you need is to get a pre-paid Starbucks card - one of those plastic gift-cards sitting at the counter and then ask them to load any amount onto it - even as little as a buck. But the KEY is to REGISTER the card on starbucks.com -- it also allows you to get a replacement card with balance intact if you loose your cards somewhere.
When asking for a refill, just present the registered pre-paid card and ask for a free refill -- and they'll quickly swipe it and give you the refill or top off your coffee before you leave the store with no hassles.

Suddenly, the Starbucks habit doesn't seem so ridiculous on the wallet...
